This year, we're introducing new Family Workshops! These classes are geared toward families and learning together. Families will put their new skills to work to create a take home project. Each registration fee is $50 and includes one adult, one child, and one project. Additional family members are only $10. Upcoming Family Workshops:
- Dinosaur Walk (September 15th and 16th, 9:00am-12:00pm): Step back in time for this Jurassic adventure. Explore as a paleontologist in the Museum of Ancient Life as you walk amongst dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Wrap up your adventure together by creating a dinosaur garden!
- Paint the Garden (October 20th, 1:00pm-4:00pm): The Ashton Gardens are full of vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows during the fall season. Capture the beauty of the gardens in watercolor after a short, hands-on tour of the gardens for inspiration. In this workshop, you'll discover and apply the basic principles and techniques of water coloring. Each family will receive one large canvas to take home.
- Arctic Explorer (December 9th, 1:00pm-4:00pm): Although winter may seem still and quiet, there are many active creatures and plants. You and your family will venture through the tundra of the Discovery Gardens to explore the mysterious winter wildlife of Utah. Bring the wildlife indoors by creating winter wreaths using items found in the gardens all while enjoying a cup of hot coco.
