Meet the Animals
Daisy
Farm country has been home to thirteen-year-old Daisy, a Jersey Cow, since 1999. Over the years she has been one of the farm’s biggest attractions. Children and adults alike get to see where milk really comes from, and even get the opportunely to milk Daisy themselves. With three gallons of milk produced by Daisy daily, everyone can visit the farm and try milking first hand (milking takes place at 6 pm during the summer, and 5 pm during winter hours.) Recently new baby Jersey calves have been brought to the farm, and Daisy has taken on the roll of “mother’ by treating the calves as her own. Daisy is very gentle, loving, and is always willing to be fed by visitors of all ages.
Dusty and Prince
Dusty and Prince are two handsome twenty-year-old Belgium draft horses. They are competitive pulling horses that won three years in a row for their weight division. They can usually be found together either pulling wagon rides, being brushed, or just being admired for their size in their stall. When they are not working Prince will often times get jealous of Dusty if he is getting more attention from visitors, and is known to be the more aggressive of the two. Dusty and Prince have called Thanksgiving Point home since 1999, and work five days a week pulling the wagon.
